OTHER SERVICES PROVIDED:

_  Speech and Language Therapy

Language development and speech therapy are provided as an integrated part of each class at the School of Hope.  Consultation and training in using augmentative devices are also provided.

_  Physical Therapy

Physical therapy is provided for students enrolled in the School of Hope’s educational programs.  Emphasis is on large motor development, positioning, and adaptive equipment.

_  Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is provided for students enrolled in the School of Hope’s educational programs.  Functional skills in self-help and vocational areas are emphasized, as well as sensory integration.

_  Nursing Services

Nursing services are provided for those children with special medical and health needs.

_  Transportation

The yellow bus services to and from school are provided.  A transportation aide is present on each bus

_  Supportive Home Services

A service available to children and adults with specialized individual needs, provided in the person's residence.  Counseling to families and assistance in working with other community agencies is also provided.

_  Family Support Services

A financial assistance program for families caring for a person with developmental disabilities in the family home.  The program promotes the unity of the family by assisting it to meet the special needs of the individual.

_  Service and Support

A social service system which assists a person with developmental disabilities in obtaining all available opportunities and services.
