Behavior Support Services continue to promote progress towards goal accomplishment, increased confidence, self esteem, and team satisfaction for persons served.

The Sandusky County Board of Developmental Disabilities Quality of Life Committee continues to focus to reduce and eliminate the use of coercion and restraints in behavior supports as well as daily programming by utilizing:

  • Social skills education
  • Communication enhancement
  • Anger management
  • Counseling
  • Organized behavioral systems
  • Cognitive approaches
  • Positive relationship building
  • Environmental changes
  • Other positive approaches
