There are a wide variety of vocational services to choose from depending on a person’s age, interest, and readiness for employment. Ohio is an Employment First state and there are many educational resources to help provide answers and guidance. SCBDD values and encourages everyone to consider employment opportunities while respecting individual choice and timing in their individual pursuit.
Similar to Adult Day Services, certified providers offer a variety of vocational habilitation services that range from exploration, skill development, assessment, supportive employment opportunities, and supervised mobile work groups. Individuals interested in exploring, developing, or maintaining vocational skills are encouraged to explore service options with the many providers in Sandusky County. Adults not enrolled in school programming are eligible to consider vocational habilitation services. Contact the Service and Support Administration department for more information or check out the provider tab to see which provider may be best suited for your interests and needs.
